The great mother has many faces and appearances. In her form of Kali she may appear as dark and even scary, yet when we allow ourselves to look deeper beyond her frightening appearance, we see only love and truth. She may appear scary as she is wild, free and untamable. She challenges us to look at our own illusions and to realize the truth. She is often depicted with the sword which cuts through our limitations, setting us free. When we surrender to her, our illusions burn in her fire, and she takes us to her blissful oceans where we may feel pure stillness, bliss and indescribable peace. In Her, all is One. She takes us beyond the concept of other, beyond mind, beyond limitation. She shows us that time is illusion and that death is not real.
